Wayne County along with 8 other counties, is applying for a Bridge Investment Program (BIP) grant. This grant would support reconstructing 12 bridges across rural Nebraska that are nearing the end of their service lives, including 2 bridges on 857 RD (Wayne) & 852 RD (Winside). These projects will restore critical infrastructure to a state of good repair, improve safety, increase community mobility, reduce barriers to opportunities in rural Nebraska and support economic and job growth in their respective regions.
